This Fort McMurray home was in dire need of a kitchen renovation both functionally + aesthetically, so we said a sweet farewell to the original maple cabinets and lemon backsplash to start fresh with a clean slate. The layout was reconfigured to create amore efficient working triangle, we incorporated an island with seating, as well as added a frosted glass door to the existing pantry which hides the microwave, freezer + open shelving. Since this isn’t their forever home, the clients wanted a classic white kitchen with a hint of farmhouse flare that would suit their style now but remain timeless for years to come. A refined balance of crisp white millwork, white subway tile + grey grout, black pull hardware, “marble” quartz countertops + “concrete” floor tile created the perfect backdrop for warm brass + wood accents that tie the whole design concept together.
